The recent Effective Mentoring Workshop was well received and we have heard requests for an online session. We are working to organise online sessions for the following workshops:
In this workshop, you will gain practical strategies to become a supportive and effective STEM mentor. While technical STEM expertise are valuable, great mentoring is much more than this and is about fostering discovery, curiousity, and problem-solving skills. Supportive and effective mentoring is highly important to the work of adults within Scouting as we support young people in many different pursuits using the Scout Method.
This workshop is suitable for everyone, regardless of mentoring or STEM experience. If you are wanting to grow your skills and confidence in supporting STEM activities for young people or to learn new or refresh mentoring strategies, then this workshop is for you!
This workshop covers creating compelling and interactive activities that will inspire the next generation. This 90-minute workshop provides you with useful tools to help you choose appropriate language for your audience, make a flexible plan for your activity, and how to manage when you don’t know the answers.
This workshop is suitable for everyone, regardless of STEM experience. If you are wanting to grow your skills and confidence in supporting STEM activities for young people, then this workshop is for you!
